Information document pursuant to and in accordance with Articles 13-14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679

In compliance with EC Reg 679/16 (GDPR), we are to provide you with the necessary information regarding the processing of the personal data you provide. This information does not apply to other websites that may be accessed through links on the owner’s domain websites, and the owner is not responsible in any way for the websites of third parties.

1) Data controller, data processor and place of processing

THE "OWNER" OF THE TREATMENT

As a result of consulting this site, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.

The “owner” of their processing is. Star Tools S.r.l., with registered and operational headquarters in Via Calatafimi, 11 – 20029 Buccinasco (MI) e V.A.T. 13277580158.

The “person in charge” of the processing is Giorgio Confalonieri, at the administrative headquarters of the same company.

PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing operations related to the web services of this site take place at the aforementioned headquarters of the owner and are handled only by staff expressly appointed in charge and/or responsible for processing, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations.

No data from the web service is disclosed or disseminated.

The personal data provided by users who forward requests for the sending of informative material and/or quotations, are used for the sole purpose of performing the service or provision requested and are communicated to third parties only if this is necessary for that purpose (e.g.: shipping service, …).

2) Types of data processed

PERSONAL AND NAVIGATION DATA

“PERSONAL DATA” is defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, with particular reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more features of his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity

NAVIGATION DATA

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

DATA VOLUNTARILY PROVIDED BY THE USER

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site and/or the filling in of data collection forms, entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered.

3) Purposes of processing for which consent is granted where required (Art. 6 GDPR)

A)

Data of a personal nature, voluntarily provided will be processed for the following purposes:

  • navigation on this website;
  • Possible completion of data collection forms for requests for quotes and/or contacts and/or sending applications;
  • Possible completion of data collection forms for online booking;
  • Administrative-accounting activities in general.

For the purposes of applying the provisions on the protection of personal data, processing carried out for administrative-accounting purposes are those related to the performance of activities of an organizational, administrative, financial and accounting nature, regardless of the nature of the data processed. In particular, internal organizational activities, those functional to the fulfillment of contractual and pre-contractual obligations, information activities pursue these purposes.

B)

Personal data provided in filling out data collection forms on websites or data collection forms in general (such as first name, last name, e-mail address) will be processed, with prior consent, by the Data Controller and Data Processors for activities of a commercial promotional nature and e-mail newsletters.

4) Method of processing - Storage

The processing will be carried out in automated and manual form, with methods and tools designed to ensure maximum security and confidentiality, by individuals specifically appointed for this purpose in compliance with the provisions of Articles 13-14 of the GDPR. Data will be kept for a period not exceeding the purposes for which the data were collected and subsequently processed.

5) Scope of communication and dissemination

Your data, subject to processing, will not be disseminated and may be communicated to companies contractually bound to Star Tools S.r.l., in order to comply with contracts or related purposes. Data may be disclosed to third parties in the following categories:

  • Subjects that provide services for the management of the information system used by Star Tools S.r.l. and telecommunications networks;
  • firms or companies as part of service and consulting relationships;
  • competent authorities for fulfillment of obligations of laws and/or provisions of public bodies, upon request.

 

Individuals in the above categories act as Data Processors, or operate completely independently as separate Data Controllers. Any further communication or dissemination will take place only with your explicit consent.

6) Nature of contribution and refusal

Apart from what is specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data. The provision of data for the purposes set forth in par. A) is necessary. Any refusal to provide data for the purposes under par. A) results in the inability to obtain what was requested or to use the services of the Data Controller. The provision of consent to the processing of data for the purposes set forth in par. B), is optional. Any refusal of consent for the purposes outlined in par. B), will not produce any negative for the purposes set forth in. A).

7) Rights of data subjects

As a data subject, you have the rights set forth in Art. 15 GDPR and specifically the rights to:

  • obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data concerning you, even if not yet registered, and their communication in intelligible form;
  • Getting the indication:
    • (a) of the origin of personal data;
    • (b) of the purposes and methods of processing;
    • (c) of the logic applied in the case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
    • (d) of the identification details of the owner, managers and designated representative under Art. 5, paragraph 2 Privacy Code and Art. 3, paragraph 1, GDPR;
    • e) of the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them in their capacity as designated representative in the territory of the State, managers or appointees;
  • obtain:
    • updating, rectification or supplementation of data;
    • the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including data whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
    • A statement that the operations referred to in paras. (a) and (b) have been brought to the attention, also as regards their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except where this proves impossible or involves the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the right protected;
  • Oppose in whole or in part:
    • (a) for legitimate reasons to process personal data about you, even if relevant to the purpose of collection;
    • b) to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication, through the use of automated calling systems without the intervention of an operator by means of e-mail and/or through traditional marketing methods by means of telephone and/or paper mail.

Where applicable, you will also have the rights under Articles 16-21 GDPR (Right to rectification, Right to be forgotten, Right to restrict processing, Right to data portability, Right to object), as well as the right to complain to the Data Protection Authority. You may at any time obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data concerning you and the communication of such data and the purposes on which the processing is based. In addition, you may obtain the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as the updating, rectification or, if there is an interest on your part, the integration of data. You may object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing itself.

8) Changes to the privacy policy

The owner reserves the right to change, update, add or remove portions of this privacy policy at its discretion and at any time. The person concerned is required to check periodically for any changes. In order to facilitate this verification, the disclosure will contain an indication of the date the disclosure was updated. Use of the site, after the publication of the changes, will constitute acceptance of the changes.
